We're so glad that you're considering joining ASLA's team of peer leaders!
ASLA recruits new peer leaders during each winter and spring quarter, for the following academic year.
There are two kinds of peer-leader positions at ASLA:
- Supporting students in mastering course-based learning: Peer-Guided Study Group leader, Mentored Study Program leader, and Drop-In Peer Tutor
- Mentoring students as they hone their academic strategies and work toward their academic goals: Peer Academic Coach and UPAL (Undergraduate Program for Advancing Learning) mentor
All positions are paid, and peer leaders receive comprehensive training through ASLA. Please note that new peer leaders must be available for all three quarters of the academic year.
Below you will find the position descriptions for each of the five programs that employ ASLA peer leaders. For information on the application process, read our Peer Leader Application FAQ page.
